Beth Williams created Turtle bags back in 2002 to tackle the problems created by discarded waste in the ocean. One of the biggest issues is related to turtles.
These animals travel to British Waters to eat their favourite food, jellyfish. Unfortunately, they mistake our abandoned plastic bags for them. Inspired by turtles, these sustainable bags act as a practical reminder that the battle against plastic is still on-going. The iconic turtle bags are made of organic cotton.
Today, the brand works with Fair Trade partners to offer a whole range of sustainable alternatives. On top of this, the company closely collaborates with the Marine Conservation Society and donates 10% of their profits to them.
