Metal Mesh Bird Sculpture

Designed by Benedetta Mori Ubaldini, the Metal Mesh Bird is an elegant coated wire metal mesh sculpture, part of the Magis’s Me Too collection. Its shape represents a bird in flight.

The inspiration for this fascinating bird structure comes from the natural world. The lightweight design gives the bird a delicate and graceful appearance, as if it was floating in the air or gliding through the water.

Kelly and Julien strongly recommend you decorate your living room with this beautiful art piece. It will also perfectly suit any child’s room.

Made from metal mesh painted in epoxy resin, the sculpture comes with a hook for ceiling suspension.

Available in Large and Small sizes, it will find a place in any interior.

Benedetta Mori Ubaldini

Before moving to Milan in 2005, Benedetta Mori Ubaldini lived and was trained in London. Benedetta works with many materials, but the artist is best known for her innovative and extraordinarily beautiful wirework.

Each piece starts as industrially produced with rolled chicken wire, and is then gradually shaped by hand, twisting, and joining the pieces together.

“What I love is to fill large spaces with narratives, creating three-dimensional pictures, and I like them to be evocative, symbolic, and poetic. The sculptures I create in the chicken wire have no internal structure at all; therefore, the play between presence and absence becomes the magical element of the work and gives each piece the lightness of an apparition, a ghost-like quality like a trace from memory or images from a dream.”

Magis

Magis is a family business created in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza. Based in Veneto since its creation, Italian know-how and craftsmanship are central for the company.

Magis offers design and iconic home and office furniture. Often copied but never equaled, Magis is a true avant-garde but, above all, a benchmark design brand.

The company is keen to develop unique products in collaboration with great designers such as Jasper Morrison or Philippe Starck.

Magis is even part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Pompidou Center in Paris.

The quality and the choice of materials make Magis products sustainable. Finally, the company brings together most of its suppliers in Northern Italy, enabling reducing its carbon footprint.

Magis has not finished redefining the horizons of design. Kelly and Julien were seduced by the pure and expressive lines of Magis’ iconic design furniture.
