Rahua is an American brand created by Fabian, a hairstylist, and his wife, Anna. While visiting the Amazon rainforest, Fabian met the Quechua-Shuar tribe. He discovered that the members of the tribe, who live deep within the rainforest, had relied for centuries on the Rahua oil to nourish their hair and skin. With one bottle of the precious oil, Fabian went back to New York and tried it. No more than 10 minutes later, the result was already incredible.
Rahua was born to formulate a singular line of innovative, plant-based products to heal, nourish, and beautify.
Today, more than 500 families from the Quechua-Shuar, Achuar, and neighboring tribes, work with Fabian and Anna to cultivate the rainforest grown ingredients used in the Rahua hair care and body care collections.
All Rahua products are made from organic, natural, plant-derived ingredients. They are vegan, non-toxic, and free from parabens, silicone sulfates, and gluten.
Rahua created a new category standard, Symbiotic, meaning the ingredients are grown wild in the virgin forest and hand processed through ancestral knowledge. The makers are paid an above fair-trade price, which creates a healthy self-sustained economy for Indigenous People while preserving their traditions.
As a model but also as every woman, Kelly likes taking care of her hair. While traveling to New York, she discovered Rahua, tried it, and loved it. She now wants to share it with most of you.
