La Maison Inondee Bowl

La Maison Inondée (“the flooded house”) is a ceramic bowl designed in 2016 by French designer Patrick Martinez.

This fanciful bowl turns eating a classic soup into a rescue operation.
“The soup is rising. Soon it will reach the house on the hill. Save it before it floods!” This storyline is the inspiration behind La Maison Inondée.

Available in two sizes: the small one will make an eye-catching and fascinating centerpiece ; the tiny one is ideal for serving food to children or to adults who kept their child’s spirit.

Kelly, Julien, and their kids enjoy using this bowl for serving cereals in the morning and soup for dinner.

Born and grown up in France, Patrick Martinez is a New York-based visual artist and product designer. For the past twenty years, Patrick has been exploring different expression forms, such as drawing, sculpture, installation, sound art, video…

His interest in product design is closely related to his artistic practice. A few years ago, he founded the product design studio Blank Bubble.

Blank Bubble is marked by a particular interest in dematerialization, meditative objects that offer sensory experiences, and reflects Patrick Martinezʼ concern for the notions of displacement, shift of perspective, economy, process, adaptation, and/or resistance.
