The MoMA Design Store introduced in 1992 the Sky Umbrella designed by Tibor Kalman and Emanuela Frattini Magnusson.
This collapsible umbrella is ideal for protecting from negativity, bad mood, and rain. The umbrella exterior is a plain black canopy, but the umbrella unveils a bright blue sky strewn with white clouds once opened. This unexpected interior reminds Kalman’s joyful life.
The umbrella conveniently folds to a small size, ideal for traveling.
It is made of sturdy nylon with an automatic open/close mechanism.
