Spun Rotating Chair

485.00

Architect Thomas Heatherwick has designed the Spun Rotating Chair from Magis. Its harmonious, dynamic, and symmetric shape lets you rock side to side and even spin around.

The seat lets you rediscover the pleasure of rocking. Turn 360° and play with the world around us!

The Spun Rotating Chair is a playful yet comfortable seat, but not only. It turns into a contemporary sculpture that will enhance any indoor and outdoor atmospheres when it is still.

This magnificent piece of design won in 2014 the renowned industrial design award, ADI Compasso d’Oro.

Kelly and Julien discovered this fascinating chair in the New-York museum Cooper-Hewitt in 2016.

Available in Grey Anthracite and White.

Made by...

Thomas Heatherwick

Thomas Heatherwick is an award-winning London based architect who founded Heatherwick Studio in 1994. His aim was “to bring architecture, design, and sculpture together within a single practice.”

The studio’s work spans commercial and residential building projects, master planning and infrastructure schemes, and high profile works of public art.

For instance, they designed the astonishing “Seed Cathedral” for the UK Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010.

In the team, architects, landscape architects, designers, and engineers work from a combined studio and workshop, where concept development, detailing, prototyping, and small-scale fabrication take place.

Picked at...

Magis

Magis is a family business created in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza. Based in Veneto since its creation, Italian know-how and craftsmanship are central for the company.

Magis offers design and iconic home and office furniture. Often copied but never equaled, Magis is a true avant-garde but, above all, a benchmark design brand.

The company is keen to develop unique products in collaboration with great designers such as Jasper Morrison or Philippe Starck.

Magis is even part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Pompidou Center in Paris.

The quality and the choice of materials make Magis products sustainable. Finally, the company brings together most of its suppliers in Northern Italy, enabling reducing its carbon footprint.

Magis has not finished redefining the horizons of design. Kelly and Julien were seduced by the pure and expressive lines of Magis’ iconic design furniture.
